In F.W.F.R. lore, there is the story of a great challenge, a struggle bewteen pioneers such as noncentz and MguyX. The gauntlet was thrown down to write the shortest review possible. Eventually, noncentz triumphed with the magnificent "Fin" (although I don't love this review quite as much as I did, due to the increasing influence of modern F.W.F.R. standards on my preferences).

I thought it would be a nice idea to lay down another challenge, and then hopefully several more. The current submission limitations lend themselves to spending a lot more time coming up with each review, and many people have expressed the view that quality levels have declined.

I would like to put forward alliteration for the first challenge. This is because alliterative reviews generally do not get many votes, and so coming up with special ones would be a good achievement.

People are more than welcome to post their existing reviews, although I rather more have in mind trying to think of new ones. I think that people should only post those they consider their best, not just all the ones they have.

This will be a completely open-ended challenge, due to the delay in approvals and the fact that inspiration does not come at will. Good luck!

Here is my first entry for the alliteration (or, if you like, Ali-teration) round:

Shhhhh...

I like this idea Sal.

I think one of the toughest reviews to write is four rhyming words.
I think I've only done it once in a review for Se7en.

My review refers to the scene at the end of the movie when Brad Pitt finds out what's in the package. (My review isn't a spoiler, however, there are many other reviews that are spoliers so try not to let your eyes wander too much. My review is in the top left corner.)

Excellent! I LOVE alliterative reviews - it's my favorite way to give a review a little extra something, and I can rarely resist voting on them.

Here are two favorites from my stable:

One which additionally consists of only monosyllables.

A triple alliteration.

Can anyone come up with a quadruple alliteration?

I didn't just pick these ones cause of the letter M, it just happens that the rest of them may be alliteration.

Yeah or nay?

M0rkey ... isn't this the link you want?
And your "triple" seems to be a quadruple ... unless I'm missing something?!

I know that rhymes by definition contain alliteration, but I was more thinking that they could have a later challenge of their own.

I have quite a few fourworders, in fact the first review that I ever wrote (second submitted) was an alliterative one.

Nun better than this one for The Sound of Music.

I've got a quad that also matches the movie. It's for V For Vendetta.

It's additionally a propos, because in the original comics, all the chapters were words starting with V.

Not really. When I made my links, I wanted my review in the middle in case things move around.

Ah, this one seems to have confused. By triple, I meant the first three letters of each word are the same. To my mind, to be a full alliteration, all the words have to start with the same letter - otherwise, it's a partial alliteration (some of which can also be pretty neat).

As an example, I would call this one a half double alliteration - the words are divided into half, with each half being a double alliteration.

So my challenge for a quadruple alliteration requires a review where every word begins with the same sequence of four letters.

Neither of your links is giving me your review.

Found your Demon Seed review, however.. Good news--I had already voted. Bad news--I can't vote again.

Here is one for American Beauty: http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?id=79

Mary Poppins: http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?id=383

Who Framed Roger Rabbit?: http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?id=1853

Alliteration is something I use often; I found these three in my first page plus one row on my second page.
