FOUR YOUR CONSIDERATION - TREASURE HUNT
Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list. Do not use reviews from the previous round - you must change them every round. Post here to declare that you've done it. Sooner is better than later. Provide a spoiler warning in your post when appropriate. You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants. The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next.

Two new, three with one vote.
And just in case you didn't know, the movie My Dear Secretary stars Laraine Day as the secretary and Kirk Douglas as the writer Owen Waterbury, whom she works with, who makes her angry since he's more interested in partying than writing. As for Kent State, I submitted the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the title of the film - that being the refrain from the Crosby Stills Nash & Young song, Ohio.

Action again Im in.
Cheat sheet aka Hints for those that may need them: -
Hollow Man II : - Christian Slater plays the hollow man. Charlie's Angels : - Though not as sexploitative as the original TV series, critics still felt that it could've done with less exposure in tune with the times. The Matrix reloaded : - Read the review aloud . |

Human beings should not be awake at this hour.
oh hints, fair hintlets:
The Birth Of Mankind - Latin root for mankind is anthro. From dust we come ... could it be coal dust?
84 Charing Cross Road - witty, literary American broad befriends shy Brit bookseller; they develop a non-sexual relationship in the pre-digital days. Film stars Anthony Hopkins, Anne Bancroft.
The Horse Whisperer - Redford's character's called Booker. The horse is Pilgrim; he's owned by a mother, daughter combo. Black Book - is directed by Paul Verhoeven; it's set in Holland during Nazi occupation. Next - Nic Cage uses limited clairvoyance to avert a very big boom.

Zeros.
Mild spoiler for Hitchcock's Spellbound.
Also, a small hint for the little-seen Science of Sleep: Stphane's romantic relationship with Stphanie only seems to go well when he is dreaming.

I know there's no need to tell you that Tutankhamen's tomb was discovered by the famous archeologist Howard Carter, so I won't.

Just another manic Monday
I've had a bit of a drought for approved reviews this week, so I'm offering some other low scoring ones
Hintlets: Short Circuit: By accident, "Johnny Five is alive!!!"
The Rainmaker: A new lawyer uncovers fraud when suing an insurance company, Great Benefits, for wrongful death after a covered young man dies when the company denies payment for a bone marrow transplant because it is "experimental."
Dead Silence: Ventriloquist Mary Shaw is killed & her tongue cut out by townsfolk when a boy who called her a fraud is murdered. Now it seems she has been taking revenge on the town, when numerous families are found dead with their tongues missing.
Bubba Nosferatu And The Curse Of The She-Vampires: This prequel to Bubba Ho-Tep finds Elvis shooting a film in Louisiana when he runs afoul of a coven of she-vampires.

Right, I've got five newbies for you.
Not exactly spoilers, but a couple of hints:
Rimbaud was a French poet. In French, an 'i' is often pronounced 'a', while 'aud' is pronounced as a long 'o'.
The Biblical book of Revelation calls Jesus "the alpha and the omega" (the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet). |

Thanks. It didn't do too well in the F.W.F.R.ers' challenge, so I'll be happy to receive any extra votes via this. |
