The Rules
Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.
You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.
You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted.
ON THIS DAY: 7 May Today TA:MOU takes its inspiration from Canada. I wonder if we can tempt AC to play, as we offer three Maple Leaf choices. Don't be a sap, take your pick from these:
> To mark the anniversary of Toronto's Art Gallery of Ontario in 1920 of the first group exhibition of the Group of Seven, aka The Algonquian School - please post your fwfrs for any film featuring more than one painter and/or sculptor. These needn't be bio-pics, but their work must be the film's focus.
OR CHOOSE ANOTHER SEPTET
> in the form of each of the seven highest peaks, one per continent, because on this date in 1986 British Columbian still/vid photographer and mountain climber Patrick Morrow achieved the feat of climbing them all. So fwfrs please for films that feature or are about mountain climbing. Fact, fiction ... just get high for us!
> Freefall Canada - choose any one Canadian actor/actress and review their silver screen appearances. Yes, you can have birthdays, too! Just four this time. 1901 Gary Cooper, American actor (d. 1961) 1922 Darren McGavin, American actor (d. 2006) 1923 Anne Baxter, American actress (d. 1985) 1927 Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, German-American author and screenwriter (d. 2013)
Just heard the sad news of sfx guru Ray Harryhausen's death. To commemorate him, please add your reviews of his films as one of your options today. RIP Ray.

Posted - 05/14/2013 : 00:03:05 I can't believe how much I like your reviews, demonic... I had already voted for most of them. I hit the few that I hadn't already touched... plus voted for everybody else. Time to rest.
