Kauwboy is about a jackdaw.

Dustin Noble fights fracking.

Spoiler for Stoker (here and in the review): Evelyn Stoker invites her dead husband's psychopathic brother to stay.

Fifties

NB:
Bette Davis played Queen Elizabeth for the second time in "The Virgin Queen"
Against the wishes of her small town community and children a widow (Jane Wyman) starts up a love affair with a younger man (Rock Hudson) in "All That Heaven Allows".
Submarine vs Destroyer film "The Enemy Below" stars Curt Jurgens.

The changing of sunlight to moonlight
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes

The greetings of people in trouble
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes

Oh my sorrows
Sad tomorrows
Take me back to my own home

So here are my movie Cliff notes:
a) Boys Don't Cry: The story of the life of Brandon Teena, a transgendered teen who preferred life in a male identity until it was discovered he was born biologically female.
b) and c) The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey: A younger and more reluctant Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out on an "unexpected journey" to the Lonely Mountain with a spirited group of Dwarves to reclaim their stolen mountain home from a dragon named Smaug.
d) The Impossible: The story of a tourist family in Thailand caught in the destruction and chaotic aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Stars Naomi Watts in an incredible performance. This review harkens back to an old Bill Cosby bit between God and Adam that my friends and I used to quote ad nauseum when we were young. Noah is complaining about how much work he's putting into the Ark and all the troubles with the animals and the mess. After all this, Noah says "This has gone on long enough - people are laughing at me. I can't take it!!!" God says "Noah?" "Yeah?" "How long can you tread water?" When it came time for the review, "How long can Naomi tread water" would NOT go out of my mind!!
e) Shadow of the Vampire: The filming of Nosferatu is hampered by the fact that the star is taking his role far more seriously than what seems humanly possible - he's really a vampire.
