Pardon my excitement, but holy cow!

Chocolate Lady has been more than a little busy.

Over thirty approved just in the last week! Woot!

Oh, yeah, she's about to pass me up on her way to the top. I feel like I'm on the Poseidon and convinced that I need to get to the bridge...

How do you write 1/3 of a review?

By limiting yourself to 1 1/3 words.

Well done chocolate lady and yukon, looks like your on a mission, keep it up just splashed your pages with some votes of encouragement...

And so you did! Thank you so much. You guys are such an inspiration to me, I just wish I had more time to play around here.

(Ah, but Passover is coming and I'm off work throughout. What with grown-up kids and a husband who has to work part-time during the holiday, I'm gonna have some time to really shore up my pending list!)

Was! To maintain the marital bliss I struggle to output 1000 a year now.

Damn, I feel slow.

My oldest surviving review is dated May 19 2002, (Police Academy 6) but it's a bit generic and will be leaving soon. Over 200 reviews in the last 2 months and I'd like to crack the 500 by the time my 4th anniversary comes around.

Maybe back in my single days I could match that feat but as a father of three children under three-years-old, I just don't have that much free time anymore.

Right now, I'm trying to complete the Oscar winner's accolade. I'm surprised on two people have: Randall and Bennyr81. I'm 20 reviews away from joining them.

Nup, I banged out 1000+ in my first 30 days. I was running on the pure joy of creating (and chasing some accolades - Disney featured heavily). Some of them still stack up well.
Conan's earliest 100 These cover 2.5 days of reviewing. I'm amazed that benj kept up with my output so well.

Very possible. I found that when I try to be too smart, the MERPs don't understand my reviews. Now I'm trying to go for accurate and with at least a touch of opinion included, if possible. That may make for slightly more boring reviews, but they get passed!

By the way, I've set myself a few goals to keep my juices going, including finding films that aren't on the database and trying to get a review added along with the film. I consider those a real challenge because I put the link to IMDB in my comments along with a shortened comment about the film.

Hey CL, I posted my last message before seeing your reply.

Interesting, we are going through the same phase. At first, I was trying for genius with every review I wrote..
Soon I got addicted to seeing my vote tally go up and I've started churning out medicore reviews just to get it accepted as I build toward 500. Now, one in every five is genius.

I have a feeling most FWFRers go through the same pattern.

And the cold front sneaking up behind her is me, Yukon.

I've also been cranking them out lately but Chocolate Lady seems to always stay one or two reviews ahead of me.

I've had 12 reviews approved today and she's still in front

Lookout Lady, I've got 50 in the pending pile and my brain is still filled with inspiring ideas....

P.S. Keep up the good work CL.

Oh... Wow... Thanks for noticing.

I have over 40 reviews in my pending list, and I'm hoping that I can think more up over the weekend (mine's already started - here we work Sundays but not Fridays). I'm really pushing to get to 500 reviews because I want to rate some of my favourites 6/5.

(Why am I feeling guilty, all of a sudden? Perhaps because I've got so many review that are acceptable, but not genius? Maybe after I get to 500 I'll work harder on quality than quantity.)
