FOUR YOUR CONSIDERATION - TREASURE HUNT

Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list.
The only rule is to not use the ones from the previous round - you must change them every round.
Post here to declare that you've done it.
Sooner is better than later.
You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants.
The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next.

I'm certain most people do abide by the rules, and a v&v isn't necessary in the majority of cases, but I do wonder sometimes if absolutely everyone is strictly playing fair.

Turrell - you're right i can't complain on this round, although starting most of my reviews at 7 meant I picked up 6 or 7 votes the same as Yukon and others with brand new reviews. There's certainly a good chance that the regulars had already voted on mine to get them to 7, but when I posted with three hours to go I was on about 9. Only after Yukon, Sean and I raised doubts about whether everyone had voted my reviews got hit. I have no way of knowing whether that would have happened anyway. I don't think V&V posting should be obligatory, but it is the equivalent of signing out of the round after you signed in with your submissions.

Have no problem with those who don't post V&V. I usually do but I just like to promote my avatar.

I check the FYCTHs two or three times, but usually not early on the posting day.

I even got Pope this round, even though his pontifications were rather late.

better late then never

had a busy weekend and couldn't vote on the last three pages untill now.

Foxboy and I are practically twins on this issue. Notice the resemblance?

Hey, I just hope that each of my reviews will get at least one vote.

I have voted on everyone in this round.

Pope - please remember that the URL is www.fwfr.com that 'www' was missing from your link.

I'm another one who doesn't post V&V. It seems redundant given the social contract of FYC.

If I have low votes I assume it's because (a) there aren't as many entrants in FYC and (b) my reviews aren't that good.

Yep, it is. That doesn't mean that everyone does it though.

People started the "VVV" thing a while back when it appeared that there may have been some entering but not doing the voting rounds.

P.S. VVV including latecomer PGR.

To be fair - Yukon - all of your reviews have 7 or more votes - not too bad really. And Demonic you have 9 - 15 votes apiece. Given that the FYC players are pretty good at hitting people's reviews a lot of us may have hit these already.

The rules as stated only say that you must read all the participant's pages. Its only been the last few months that anyone had V&v'd FYC - thus I go with tradition I view pages but don't feel its necessary to post as such. The only time I miss FYC's is when the are posted considerably after the start time.

Whew!

I thought it was just me...

I actually received more votes this round for a review that wasn't even on my FYC list (It's not even a new review!)

Falken

Oh yeah,

V&V (including Pope!)

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. It's not that hard to work out though- 25 reviewers have submitted but only 8 have come back to say thay've voted on the round. Maybe some people don't feel the need to state V&V, but it does make me wonder.....

I always vote late to catch any stragglers because I usually only get the time to do it once, but I think a V&V post should be essential - if you have the time to read and vote, surely a quick note to say you have isn't so difficult?

To be blunt I'd be amazed if all 25 submittees have all voted on this round. Maybe the next three hours will see a rush. Hope so.

edit: V&V!

I thought the act of voting was implicit in the participation of this thread. Just because I haven't SAID I've viewed and voted on everyone's reviews, it doesn't mean I haven't.

I've just done the rounds. Yep, I've received a fairly moderate amount of votes (perhaps mine are crap? I didn't have the greatest FYCTH this week, I'm just going through my newies in chronological order), but I saw some pretty good ones on others' pages that didn't have a lot of votes.

Hopefully there'll be a rush of latecomers over the next couple of hours.
