I got this one rejected:

Aliens 1986
This time...it's plural.

I resubmitted it, but in case it gets rejected, I'd like some other opinions on the rejection.

I really thot it was funny and when I was a kid was sort of dumbfounded that the sequel to "alien" was "aliens". it was the era of empire strikes back and return of the jedi, so I was hoping for better sequel names.

if its generic are there other movies that just became plural for the sequel.

plus, tonally, I think it fits with the movie. ripley's all "take this bitch" and stuff too.

any guesses? im not throwing this out there to bicker indirectly with benj, but more to see what other people think. makes rejection of the ones i like easier to take.

I suspect "This time it's <insert wacky word>" has been used more than once as a tagline, to the extent that it's become a well-known phrase. Whether or not 'Aliens' was the first to use it, I couldn't say, but I don't think such an oft-played upon tagline can be considered anything but generic I'm afraid
