Posted - 07/11/2006 : 15:53:35 my review for 'Good Morning Viet Nam' was recently approved: 'Forest in Asian jungle.' and it got a vote. the review was also declined, with the reason 'similar to another review.' i went to the film's page to see if there was another similar one, prepared to kill mine, but couldn't find it. is my voted-on review too similar to my own review?! as it exists simultaneously in the realms of 'approved' and 'declined'?! this feels like the star trek episode where they have the evil doppleganger of kirk, or when they tell the bad robot to compute pi, causing it to fry its circuits. |

Er... could you clarify a bit. Is the review currently approved or declined? I see it's on the page, but you say it's declined
it's on the film's page, so i suppose ultimately it has been approved. it's also in my declined and approved piles. it's not that big a deal, i suppose. i should just delete it from my declined pile, give thanks to the MERPS for approving it and sacrifice a 'Catwoman' dvd, and offer sexual favors for votes. i just found it a little weird and thought other fwiffers would find entertaining.
I would say it does sounds like you've subbed the same review twice somehow (although how exactly is a mystery). I can't think how (in code terms) it would be possible to have a review appear both declined and approved simultaneously, but if you don't delete the declined review, I can double check when I get home tonight. |

Posted - 07/11/2006 : 17:02:47 Something similar once happened to me - I accidentally submitted the same review twice. But in my case, both of them got declined for being (apparently) too similar to each other. |
