FOUR YOUR CONSIDERATION - TREASURE HUNT
Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list. The only rule is to not use the ones from the previous round - you must change them every round. Post here to declare that you've done it. Sooner is better than later. You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants. The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next. |

btw, what is V&V?
Viewed and voted.
Not a requirement, but some reviewers like to say it to show that they have been through all fyc's (or some in the case of "V&V'd to xxx").
It was a trend started a few months back when fyc voting seemed to tail off and there was a whispered suggestion that maybe not everybody was voting |

V&V and all that.
Thanks Zulu. It was quite odd my coming up with that one...
Have you ever thought up a review you liked, but then on checking FWFR you find it's already there, and not only that, but you've already already voted on it?
Well, the exact opposite occurred with that review for me. I kept thinking of it for ages, but i was sure that it was one I'd already read and voted for on this site. I didn't think of submitting it. One day, I happened to be browsing Jaws reviews for some reason, and didn't spot it. Odd, I thought. I'd've sworn it was there. I double-checked, and still couldn't see it or anything else along the same lines (other than a Shark Boy/buoy pun). So I submitted it.
Well, so often it's the other way around. I guess the karma wheel must turn.
In fact, an eerie coincidence is that the same happened to me with my review for "Life is Beautiful": "Benign lies, Benigni dies." Of course, more often than not, I think up a clever review and find that it is already there. btw, what is V&V?

Posted - 09/10/2006 : 23:25:35 V & V... AND finally updated Sludge's Rank and Pile.
Thanks Beanmimo for the compliment!
I really liked Conan's review for Hang 'Em High, in which Clint Eastwood survives a mob hanging and seeks vengeance.
If I may say so, "Hungforgiven" is pretty good too. :-)
