Here's a new "game," though it's really just a backdoor way to list all those FWFR reviews that you just LOVED, but the fine folks behind the scenes rejected for one reason or another.
You know you have some that you just GOTTA share!
Here are some of my personal "gems":
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers -- Walking . . . walking . . . walking . . .walking . . .
Taxi Driver -- "You stalkin' to me?"
Gattaca -- Gattaca: Workplace, not Battlestar.
Chariots of Fire -- Runners hurdle confusing storyline.
All the President's Men -- "Deep Throat" . . . with clothes!
The Blues Brothers -- "Ray-ray's got a gun!"
Swing Kids -- Swing dancers heard, Nazi.
The Terminator -- Cyborg seeks "Saddah Cannah."
Showed you mine (and I have more!), now you show me yours! 
(P.S., we could also turn this into another "voting" contest, if you wish. Opinions welcome.)

Okay, no more mention of THAT topic! Promise!
To clarify for trivial sake: I am in no way upset about the rejections, and in 98% of the cases, I have reworded and resubmitted the reviews. It was just a case of a handful of them being "special" to me, for whatever reason. Wanted to share. I certainly did not mean to re-open old wounds.
Case and topic closed. Thanks for the input, everyone!

redPen, you're a good reviewer, but a stroll thru our back pages will show you why, whenever a well-meaning newer fwiffer comes up with this same idea, it inevitably devolves into something none of us want. I'm just trying to explain why some old-timers probably won't respond to your thread -- and when it comes to what you're suggesting, me neither.
benj [and the MERPs] CANNOT COMPREHEND MY INEFFABLE BRILLIANCE!!!! sometimes. Let's just leave it there.

Hiya redPen,
Thru time this topic has come up a number of times and 8/10 times it leads to bad blood or heated discussions or a merp bashing. You have approached the matter in a happy jovial manner, personally declines upset me but I move on.
My decline pile is at 4 some waiting for explanations or rewording the rest get deleted when declined. You may find that people offer you advice or opinion if so good for you.
I generally don't offer advice I leave that to the experts. You may wish to list any reasons that you were given e.g. over 5 words or generic etc.
Congratulations on your meteoric rise

We're all broad-minded around here. You can discuss bestiality or incest but NOT rejected reviews.
If there's one thing we can't stomach around here it's ANARCHISTS!

Believe me, I'm probably the keenest person here to talk about rejected reviews, but it's considered a bit of a no-go area. Others will be able to link you to some old threads on the matter. |
