With "Fast Food Nation" coming out shortly after "Super Size Me," can we expect a spate of review adaptions from one movie to the other? Sort of like putting old wine into new bottles, or in this case, old cheeseburgers into new carryout bags.

My understanding of the generic rule is something like:-
- If a review could apply to more than one well-known movie it's generic, unless it fits one particular movie better than the others in which case it's fine for the one it fits best.
So, a review that's fine for a particular Spielberg blockbuster isn't considered generic simply because someone points out that it could also fit a certain movie made in Uzbekistan in 1923 that nobody's ever heard of.
I haven't seen Fast Food Nation, but I've looked at the reviews there and I don't think any of those fit Super Size Me, and if perhaps they did, they fit Fast Food Nation better. So, the system would appear to be working.  |

"Fast Food Nation" and "Super Size Me" essentially cover the same material, and thus a review for one would often be appropriate for the other, unless one's review included the name of the director or actor. I guess I'm just trying to use this movie similarity to point out how exacting the "generic" tag can be. If a movie applies to two movies it can be considered generic. There are so many movies that can claim the review submitted for another movie, even though the review is pithy, succinct, concise, clever, poetic...I guess that doesn't eliminate it from being generic.

In theory if they could apply to both films equally then they'd be generic and get the bullet.  Not to mention it's bad form to blatantly steal someone else's exact review and submit it for another movie.  I'm hoping there's not too many people at this site who'd consider doing such a thing. 
But crafting a new review using someone else's review on another movie for inspiration is within the spirit of the site, I'd say.
