As for hints, I read them because I don't go to the cinema and I deplore having to read plot summaries on IMDB. I had previously posted a couple of the reviews that I submitted this time and got few votes for them. This time I posted with hints and they picked up far more votes than the first time through. Sometimes hints simply give an insight into what the writer was thinking when writing the review. I agree that no one should need a hint for The Wizard of Oz for example, but there are quite a few films that get reviewed that are just obscure or the review is a little baffling. I agree with whoever said don't read them if you don't use them. Meanwhile, I'll keep reading them. |
