Posted - 01/22/2007 : 10:54:04 Gang: I recently had a review rejected for "Saving Private Ryan" that read:
"T. Hanks giving orders."
I wanted it to read like "Thanksgiving orders." Well, it didn't pass muster. I survived. But now, I just got done voting for Ali's review of the same film that reads:
"Leave? No T.Hanks!"
This review is dated 1/17/07. I bear no ill will toward the ever-clever Ali, but I'm just curious: Is it possible that I could re-submit, or am I cursed now, because it would be too similar to the already-approved review above?
Sheesh!

"T.Hanks butt? no thanks"
or is that five words?

Posted - 01/22/2007 : 12:21:33 Well, I'm sure there are other Hanks films where you could use the "T.Hanks" bit in a new review. Go on, give it a try. |

Posted - 01/22/2007 : 11:36:18 Thank you for the kind words; and extra good vibes to redPen - like my erstwhile idol, Hannibal, I hate it when a good pun goes to waste. I can't think of anything off the top of my head where "T. Hanks" can be substituted for "thanks" and still make a relevant review, but that will be my task for the day.

Yep, he's in the military in quite a few films for a start. Plus The Money Pit. |

Well there are probably a lot of movies that Hanks gives orders in. Ali's review is spot on for Saving Private Ryan, Hanks tells Damon that he has to leave the war zone and he declines. Excellent review. IMO anyway. |

Posted - 01/22/2007 : 11:01:08 It's only got the "T.Hanks" in common, and reviews with that are already ten a penny. |
