Wanted to give a high five to Gentleman Ghost for his brilliant and cerebral review of Orson Welles' MacBeth:

Orson's Scot marred.

'Tis a genius pun of the sci fi writer Orson Scott Card!

You do indeed rock and rule, GG!

Thank CL, I'll pass the kudos on, here's a coming-of-age review from Montgomery

Sorry, but I don't understand why this review is "cerebral".

It looks to me like a fairly straightforward pun on someone's name. What am I missing?

A nice use of language. Orson's got lard, for example, doesn't have quite the same 'gentlemanly' polish, don't you think...

Just saw biggerboat's "Not a complete phallusy" for John Wayne Bobbitt Uncut come through the recent reviews.

I love it.

Shouldn't need explaining why, but as well as Bobbit obviously not having a complete phallus, the film is a partial but not a complete phallacy since ot is 'loosely' based on Bobbitt's actual life.

The link, especially for salopian

WTF? I met a convicted hacker once who had a court order that he was not allowed to own a computer. Do you have some youthful transgressions to tell us about Salopian?

If you mean that I ought to have time for hunting around for reviews, since I don't have the Internet at home that is not the case. I'd have hunted it down if it were a great review, but it's only fine.

No I was just thinking that you seemed a bit cranky for a friday but it would be understandable if you worked weekends (I remember those days with nausea).

I'm sure that there are many other things that could make you cranky on a friday as you could well point out.

No internet at home. it's a pain in the arse I know.

Better get back to work before we're fired eh?

It makes no sense for each person to look it up individually. When one recommends someone's review, it is only reasonable for one to provide a link.

If you provide a link, we might even vote for it...
