I often see some great reviews on the front page and on movies that I'm looking up, and I think it would be good to have a constant thread of great reviews we see. :) Here's one I just saw that I loved...

Redpen's Witness review "Han Silo"

shadowman's Deep Throat review is excellent.

Here's one with only my vote.

Unfortunately, this review (which I have voted for, by the way) has turned out to be inaccurate. In the film, Stark explicitly states that the Iron Man nickname is a misnomer, as the suit is made from a gold alloy. As the review uses the chemical symbol, no metaphoric sense of iron can be fallen back on. This review is thus title play only, far more than the examples of that type of rejection that have been raised.

I don't think the question mark can be deemed enough to save it either, i.e. by fancifully expanding it to a meaning like "Is his suit made from iron? No."

I recently did a couple of reviews for Joyeux Noel, about a Christmas truce during WWI, and came across a nice one.

Check out Yukon's underappreciated review here.

I wondered where all those votes came from.

Thanks Chazbo, you're not so bad yourself as everyone can see here.

This one from Sludge tickled me quite a bit!

Thanks Chazbo for the mentions in this thread.

In researching a possible Indiana Jones pun, I found it here via google and think it deserves more votes even if Stoolz isn't around to appreciate it.

Now then: rather than even try to isolate one from the inspiration that is Whippersnapper, here's a whole page which contains some gemmy gems.

Am I missing something obvious here? I thought that Aladdin discovers a lamp with a genie inside, not a bottle. Has Disney bottled up the genie?

Then, there's the loverly Koli with a mind to admire.

While hot on his flaming heels is the snazzle-dazzle of Bigger Boat. Give yourself a treat and tiptoe through his tulips.

Thanks, too, to Sal and CankleF for their pimping. [Hey, guys, waitaminnit -- you said you only wanted 10% ]

I promise, I'll do some cruising around the fwfr-sea and see what lands in my net. No, not BC [before coffee] ... but very soon

20% would be cool, tho I've asked for nothing('til now)... Happy you weighed in. Oh yeah, Sal only gets 10%, as he's not present to dispute the terms*... Enjoy your java... Damn, I'm runnin' outta beer... we're on totally diff wave-lengths... Enjoy!

*Percentages are loosely based upon participation in the last few hours, everything else is left up to the reviewer...
