Posted - 05/24/2008 : 02:55:49 Feel free to skip processing any of my reviews. I'd much rather have reviews I've reported dealt with. |

I have "reported" this five-word review (using the report button beneath the film's review) THREE times -- beginning when it had zero votes. There was ample opportunity for the review to be removed before votes started to accumulate. Quite obviously, no one checks the comments that are generated using the "Report" feature. I reported it because I genuinely thought Benj would want to know that an errant review had slipped in. I don't believe that anymore.
I will go through all the reported reviews when I feel the review backlog has dropped to a low enough level that I'm happy to dedicate some serious time going through the reported reviews. I really do appreciate you reporting on reviews and hope you continue to do so when the need arises. |

Posted - 05/24/2008 : 02:39:48 I voted for the first five-word review I saw for comic effect, but Whippersnapper is right that they crop up from time to time and don't last long. I didn't report it, though. |

Posted - 05/23/2008 : 15:12:07 Good news and bad news Larry.
I've just been reading a book on placebos - at least, I think it was a book on placebos () and it said that they only work when you believe in them, so as you don't believe complaining will do you any good then it cannot make you feel better as a placebo. That was the bad news.
The good news is that I've no doubt at all that Benj will deal with this review when he gets round to it, and there's no chance at all that a five word review will survive his scrutiny, however many idiots vote for it in the meantime. It's not the first time a five word review has slipped through those thick MERPy fingers, but they don't last.
(I reported it too. )

Ever since I saw this five-word review, I've been preparing some reviews that fit the new standard. I haven't submitted them yet, but I will soon. And when they are rejected, I'll point to this NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN review as the precident. It won't do any good, but it'll make me feel better. A placebo.

Posted - 05/23/2008 : 05:02:24 I think if it has a lot of votes, it can't be taken down. (I think).
Anyway, I voted for it.
Voting for me is a "life or death coin flip."
