Actually, while he's a bit jealous of Liddell's speed, he's more jealous of Aubrey's inner peace and feeling that he Aubrey can run to just run, while Harold has to run to proove something.
(And then again, I forget exactly, but isn't someone jealous of Harold when he has that date?)

Thanks, too, ChocolateLady. You know, I recently rewatched Chariots of Fire, and while I wasn't a big fan when I saw it years ago, I appreciated it much more this time around. I'd say it's a worthy addition to a film library.
