Posted - 08/21/2008 : 05:10:42 I've just had my review for 'Hip Hop Homos' accepted, but the MERP has changed my spelling.
I submitted 'Gayz in the Hood' ... deliberately spelling gayz with a 'z', since Boyz in the Hood is spelled that way.
The review is accepted, but it's been changed to 'boys'. Is this common now? MERPs adding their own touch of creativity to a review? I think I'd sooner have my reviews accepted as they are - or not at all.
I know it's such a small thing ... 'z' is just one letter. But I feel the review lost the thing that made me chuckle.

Posted - 08/22/2008 : 13:18:28 Ahh - I'm confusing myself now.
I wanted to submit 'Gayz N the Hood'
It got accepted, but it was edited to 'Gays N the Hood'
Ok - no big deal changing the 'z' to an 's' really, except I wanted to make it the same spelling as the film I'm referencing.
What I'm more interested to know ... is that the way it is now? Will the MERPs be adding their own creative touches and edits where they feel neccessary?

Do you mean Gays (since you mention one letter)?
Anyway, that's very strange of them.
My "'Boyz' N the Hood" is better though.
