Posted - 09/23/2008 : 23:37:29 Two points arise from a recent rejection: " not a film"
1. " Government Agents vs the Phantom Legion" was picked from the new films list. I looked at the IMDB again and it turns out to be a Republic Serial. Why would it be on the new Films list if it's not a film?
2. If Republic serials aren't films then why are there are other ones that have reviews on FWFR?
I'm sorry to raise this but it seems to be inconsistent.

Posted - 09/24/2008 : 16:07:46 The pages have got enough on them as it is. It's better to just report them in the applicable Site Maintenance thread.
However, accolades are not a very good basis for deciding what should be on the site. If people don't like entries in accolades, they should just suggest to the creators or in the Fourum that they be removed. |

Posted - 09/24/2008 : 14:49:46 Yes, please, delete the DVD "making of" specials - they're not films and annoying when it comes to accolades. Is there any way to add a report box or button somewhere on each film page for flagging the film itself, much like we can flag individual reviews, for MERP attention? That way we could identify "non films" as we go. |

Generally speaking, I agree with this. Though you know what that means: we'll have to start coming up with reviews for Pathe newsreels, should someone decide to add them. |

OK, fine. I AM being glib.
I'm also asking, mind.
But glibly.
Hey! Don't knock "glib"! It's my most outstanding quality.

Posted - 09/24/2008 : 11:35:25 Man, I wouldn't care if every one of these stupid DVD-extra things were zapped. But I like accolades, so when they show up on the automatically-added lists, I have to review them. Just make sure when you're zapping, you're also zapping them from the required lists of accolades.

Posted - 09/24/2008 : 04:38:03 Benj, surely the MERPs should not be second-guessing what you will disallow as a film by using this rejection reason. Shouldn't it not be available to them at all? |

Posted - 09/24/2008 : 00:44:12 Yup- there's a basic check against adding non-films but it's not flawless so let me know if you think any have slipped through. |

Posted - 09/23/2008 : 23:43:05 I don't think ANY serials are eligible for the site.
People can add anything on IMDB, but, at least in theory, Benj will get around to deleting those not eligible.
It would be a good idea if you could list these serials so they can be deleted.
