Sean Says: anything you like ;) - Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list. - Do not use reviews from the previous round - you must change them every round. - Post here to declare that you've done it. Sooner is better than later. - Provide a spoiler warning in your post when appropriate. - You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants. - The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next. - The initiator of the next round will name the thread "FYCTH - #***" or "Sean's FYCTH - #***", "***" is one integer greater than the number of the current round. The initiator of the next round will copy this post verbatim and it will appear as the opening post of the next round, the only things that may be changed are fonts/colours and smileys (which may be removed altogether if desired) and the inviso comment after "Sean Says:".

How do you figure that? The only F.W.F.R. time of day that has ever appeared is that in the Fourum, where the round appears, so it's clear that that is what it refers to. If it meant U.K. time all along, then why wouldn't it have said that?
It says FWFR time for the benefit of newies who may not know that FWFR is hosted in the UK and that time stamps on fourum posts etc are UK time.
If the FWFR clock is wrong that doesn't change the correct time. (This is an obvious deference to authority, it makes no sense to use a clock that is clearly two hours slow). If I turned up two hours late for a work meeting and my excuse was that my watch was two hours slow and the button was stuck so I was unable to correct the time on it therefore I was forced to arrive two hours late because that's what my broken watch told me to do, then I'd expect to be sacked.
FWFR time = UK time irrespective of any clock that becomes broken. The clock is broken so use one that's not broken.quote:
And you've got the title wrong. According to the silly new rule, it's supposed to have a hash in it, pointlessly.

Salopian, since when did thank you get a hyphen to make it one word?
I thought "If you can't beat them, join them." There are so many cases of two words masquerading as one on this site that I didn't see why I should be the only one restricted by the actual rules.
However, apart from it being quite commonly hyphenated in the main sense, it can definitely be hyphenated as a noun, especially in modifying position. The last two words can thus be interpreted as "woman related to gratitude (in some unspecified way)".
Feel free to report it, though. It would be great to see a reported review ever be acted upon. |
