Well, semi-sorted - but thanks benj. Actually I HAD already done all you suggested re cookies, etc and MS can't - [I don't think they can] - do anything to my system because I've opted out of anything automatic.
Actually, I was wondering if I could re-register without losing all my reviews and votes. Would you be able to transfer them to a new login and pw if I tell you the new info?
The strangest thing is that in IE7 I can login to individual messages but not to the 4UM itself. And, of course, I still can't login to the main site at all! Bother!

I've had a lot of automatic downloads for IE over the last couple of weeks and some of them have caused me problems on a few sites here and there, but they have corrected themselves now the downloads are complete. Maybe you should check your windows update for any unfinished downloads. |

Very odd- normally the problem is that someone's using a browser other than IE, rather than not using Firefox! I'd've suggested clearing out cookies, restarting the browser/ computer and checking Microsoft didn't recently upgrade something on your system, but I guess the main thing is you're sorted now |

Well, I don't think so since I can log in to other sites. Also, I was able to log in here earlier today. I did the FYCTH thing, and did some voting and added a few films to my pending pile.
But, from about 4.30 or so, I can't log in either to the main site or the 4UM. It seems I can post here but, as I said, only by filling in the UserName and PW on a message by message basis.
Very weird! No point guessing ... only benj will know. But I just wanted you all to know I'll make good on my voting promises as soon as ...

Well, I'm having no problems.
Is it the fourum you can't log on to, or the main site?
And have you tried using an alternative browser to eliminate that possibility?
