It's really silly that someone not only does not understand soccer and its culture but is clearly determined to refuse reviews on the basis of his or her own ignorance of the subject.
There must be some MERP who understands soccer, or, if not, leave them for benj. I'd much rather they took longer to get processed than they keep getting refused because the subject is not understood.
The latest (of many!) is a play on "they think it's all over". Anyone who understands soccer history will know that anything which sounds like this, in a film which references soccer, makes it obvious that the review is linked to soccer.
End of rant.

Posted - 11/04/2009 : 00:00:09 Probably best not left to me, if I'm honest. In fact, I'm probably less qualified than anyone, not just on this site, but in the world to deal with soccer-related reviews being a resolute hater of all things footie-related.
It's the mayonnaise of sports, don't you know. Everyone assumes you love it and it pops up in everything whether you want it or not.
So, in summary, I'm not sure if we have any footie-knowledgeable MERPs, but I'd lob in a quick explanation just to be safe. |
