The challenge this time is to post pairs (or other multiples) of connected reviews by you for different films. (Matching reviews by you for the same film are covered in challenge 7 and responses to others' reviews in challenge 10.) The films themselves can either be connected or not, but it shouldn't just be similar ideas that you happen to have used for unrelated films.
Please post specific links to each set of reviews and give clear spoiler warnings where appropriate.
You are welcome to post existing reviews, but you are particularly encouraged to write new ones fitting the requirement.
Like all challenges, this will be completely open-ended, due to the variable speed of approvals and the fact that inspiration does not come at will. Good luck!

In this set, the first one does not fit properly, but I think of it as connected by being a different way of reading the title (on which basis the other reviews are formed). This pattern is very common here now but it wasn't at the time.

Mine here were inspired by Cheese_Ed's so I am including his too. I acknowledged my debt to him at the time and he was happy with my extension of the idea.

This pair is roughly along the lines of Rock Golf's, although not as good because they don't both refer to the other title.

His character name is never given in either case and he is described thus in the credits.

LOL, I'm such a dumbass. I knew about the above issue and I've just realised that I fell into the same trap. I set my default to chronological 'ascending' just to save myself some effort when getting to the U.R.L.s for the X x X thread, but of course that meant that the links were no good for anyone with a 'descending' default.  |

Those are all bad links for me unfortuately, w.h.l. This will be because your own default is on a down-arrow (e.g. high votes downwards) whereas mine is currently on an up-arrow (real chronological) and then you've selected reviewer name, with a down-arrow being suitable for you as that starts at the end of the alphabet. It will look correct to you because it still applies your down-arrow default, but for me it applies my up-arrow default.
The best way to isolate specific reviews is to click the chronological button once or twice as applicable (but not nought times) so that it displays from older to newer, then select My reviews only, (then change the user I.D. if you don't want to select your own reviews,) then amend Rows=100 and Start=1 if need be. The resulting link can then only become out of date if the review or an older one by the same user is deleted/disowned or if an older review by the same user is approved.  |

The primary theme in the Godfather series of films is death: The Godfather, The Godfather: Part II and The Godfather: Part III.
The remake of The Longest Yard carried a theme from the first one: The Longest Yard 1974 and The Longest Yard (2005).
The Lord of the Rings films have a theme of awakening: The Fellowship Of The Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King.
The Pirates of the Caribbean followed the same premise: The Curse Of The Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest and End of the World.
