TA:MOU = Themed Anniversary: Moving On Up

DA EVEN NEWER ROOLZ

Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.

You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.

You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted. As a courtesy to the majority of fwfrs, you may only post a link that uses the http://www.fwfr.com domain name.

From this week each TA:MOU # will be removed when a new one takes its place. This is to deter re-visiting of expired threads.

Yours truly
Da Management

ON THIS DAY
in 1992 Betty Boothroyd was elected Speaker of the House of Commons, the first woman to hold the post.

So, what better way in the run-up to the UK general election on 6 May than to remind ourselves of the many films concerned with elections, wherever they may be.

I'll vote for yours if you vote for mine

What are you talking about? It was the first list. You added yours after I had posted mine. In fact, I deleted it as a result of you adding yours, as it was then no longer useful.

Sometimes the criteria for keyword tagging on IMDB is a little odd, and needs some consideration in these games - is "The Inconvenient Truth" concerned with elections because Al Gore once ran for President or am I forgetting something?

I wondered that, but I just decided to trust it.

I know - it's really frustrating when you're trying to construct accolades. But TA:MOU is such a tart, if someone thinks there's a theme connection and imdb pinch it up, too ... well, come on, you demon - I'm a generous sorta gal and I'll betcha you are too. Well, not a gal, ok, but you know what I mean.

I look forward to your list ... and mine, too, but I fear it'll have to be tomorrow.

Would like to vote for your selections, but can't access your log-in format. Will certainly vote if you change it.
