Recently, Sludge PMed me with a suggestion for an improvement to one of my recent FYC reviews. I resubbed with the change and it has now been approved. I am much happier with the review.

I'm almost speechless.
My suggestion was definitely what Lemmy was driving at. Review here (I have a pimping license).
I can't really explain where the line is drawn across which 'inspiration' becomes outright theft, but as a judge once said about obscenity in film, I know it when I see it. If it's an idea clearly aimed at in the original review, I try to get a message out to the idea's originator to see if they think it helps the idea along. As ten or so voters will recall from the last round, Lemmy's original already had everything that's in the linked review before it was updated.
Of course, sending these messages can go either way, so I hope I haven't insulted anyone else by suggesting tweaks.
Votes are undeserved and unnecessary, but thanks Lemmy! |
