DA EVEN NEWER ROOLZ
Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.
You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.
You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted. As a courtesy to the majority of fwfrs, you may only post a link that uses the http://www.fwfr.com domain name.
Each TA:MOU # will be removed when a new one takes its place. This is to deter re-visiting of expired threads. Yours truly Da Management ON THIS DAY and in a week when the UK's Medical Council has announced a projection that over the next 20 years some 225,000 people will die from alcohol-related disease and incidents ... way back in 1872 The Prohibition Party held its first national convention in Ohio.
The party's key platform plank, in agreement with the Temperance movement, was opposition to the sale and consumption of alcohol. So, apparently banning stuff seems not to work all that well. And yet, the party still exists and is the oldest third party in US politics!
Filmmakers around the world have taken up the disturbing matter of alcohol abuse in themes and characters both comic and tragic.
Today's linked TA:MOU challenge is to post up your fwfrs for those films.
Pass me that bottle, willya.
