Posted - 08/30/2011 : 04:12:11 Five classic 40s
NB: In "Day of Wrath" a young woman in love with her stepson is accused of using witchcraft to murder her older husband. "The Big Sleep" features a classic dialogue about horse racing with barely disguised sexual connotations between Bogart and Bacall. At the start of "The Killers" the 'Swede' is murdered and the investigating detective interviews his friends and accomplices to piece together what happened. In "The Small Back Room" Sammy Rice is an bomb disposal expert who has become dangerously alcoholic since losing one of his legs. |
