We all know that the movies have both used and generated vast numbers of songs, but there aren't that many (I think) that are specifically about going to the movies or the stars themselves. I've come up with the following list, but are there any more lurking out there?

Kissing in the back row - The Drifters
Saturday night at the movies - The Drifters
Candle in the wind - Elton John
Bette Davis eyes - Kim Carnes (my favourite from this lot)
Movie Star - Harpo
John Wayne is big leggy - Haysi Fantayzee
Cinema - Yes
Robert de Niro's waiting - Bananarama
Michael Caine - Madness

And, just to keep this topic alive, Lon Chaney gets a namecheck in Warren Zevon's "Werewolvesof London".

Your interpretation disagrees with all the definitions of 'pun'.

Nope.

OK, just the ones on our planet.

Nope.

1985 - Bowling for Soup < Mentions Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, St Elmo's Fire and a couple of artists like Springsteen and Blondie

I haven't checked whether it has already been mentioned, but there is currently Jessica about Jessica Alba. (I've forgotten the name of the band.)

As I'd already said, not all definitions cite this as a requirement.

"Mrs. Potter's Lullaby" by Counting Crows is about Monica Potter after Adam Duritz saw her in Patch Adams. It then led to them dating.

Dire Straits' Calling Elvis.
Robbie Williams' Clean has the line "I'm friends with Charlie Sheen".
