Hey all,

I'm trying to find a copy of The Patrick Dempsey/Jennifer Connolly 1980's film Sisters or known on this side of the pond as Some girls. I do not use a credit card so ordering off the net proves difficult.

I have checked with a non mainstream movie shop in dublin and they say that it is currently unavailable. So apart from hoping that it comes onto tv soon i just wondered if any of you had any further ideas??

Nice one. I've never bought over the net before (It's not an irish thing many of my friends use it regularly, it's a Beanmimo thing)

Try it, you might like it. It's easy and safe...especially if you're using a money order.

I'd also recommend you get on the grid, but that's not really any of my business.

Been there twice, it's a current lifestyle choice.

Edit: A check would have to be from a US bank, but you can still easily do a money order, just go to your local bank and ask for it in US dollars...with the US dollar in the toilet right now, it'll save you money.

Thanks Downtown, that'll keep me occupied while I wait.

Some girls give me diamonds
Some girls, heart attacks
Some girls I give all my bread to
I don't ever want it back

French girls they want Cartier
Italian girls want cars
American girls want everything in the world
You can possibly imagine

English girls they're so prissy
I cant stand them on the telephone
Sometimes I take the receiver off the hook
I don't want them to ever call at all

White girls they're pretty funny
Sometimes they drive me mad
Black girls just wanna get fucked all night
I just don't have that much jam

Chinese girls are so gentle
They're really such a tease
You never know quite what they're cookin'
Inside those silky sleeves

Some girls they're so pure
Some girls so corrupt
Some girls give me children
I only made love to her once!

Give me half your money
Give me half your car
Give me half of everything
Ill make you worlds biggest star

So gimme all your money
Give me all your gold
Lets go back to zuma beach
Ill give you half of everything I own

This is a real long-shot, Beanie, but I'm wondering if the film school holds a library of features in the way that the NFTS does in Beaconsfield.

I A D T National Film School
Telephone and fax
Tel: 1 2144600
Fax: 1 2144700
Address: Kill Avenue
Dun Laoghaire Co, Dublin

Barring that -- and provided you can get them to reply -- all the tv channels schedule feature film screenings well in advance. They just might be willing to let you know future screening dates.

Also - for free - you can put an advert in your local issue of Loot -- you can even do it online -- asking if anyone has a copy you can buy, borrow.

Finally - a real long-distance shot: search online for the film's distributor, ask who handles international sales/rentals and request a list of outlets in and around Dublin.

The Idea Shop is now closed

Thanks bafta, some nice leads there.
