I watched Hollywood Treasures, which is a show about Profiles in History, which is a film related auction company. They carried some very choice items from the Shawshank Redemption and the selling prices blew me away. They had a lot with Andy Dufresne's digging items - a rock pick and related items that went for $19000! The cigar box and thread spool that Mr. Jinx lived in for several thousand, I think about $7500, and the electric chair for $12000. All told, the sale, which was owned by the props creators and included a mass of latex face prosthetics from The Walking Dead was estimated to sell for about $11000 ended up going for $99000. Holy schmoly. I like that show, the film stuff fascinates me. They sold Chitty Chitty Bang Bang not long ago for massive costs - I wanna say close to $250000. Cool stuff.
