I was listening to an interview with Dame Judi Dench on the way home from work this evening, and the subject of the next Bond movie was touched upon. All that DJD would say is that she and Daniel Craig were in it, and that Sam Mendes will be directing.
According to IMDb, a few more names are rumoured/announced.
If you were casting, who would you like to see in the frame as the next Bond villain(s)? For me, I'd like to see Liam Neeson in the frame, alongside Bruno Ganz.

It would be hard for Mendes to make it worse, but you never know.
Just looking at the cast, I'm not sure about how Finney or Fiennes will work, but Bardem is a good choice if he's playing the bad guy (although one could say it is type casting).
I'm certain Naomi Harris will make a very good Bond girl - and it doesn't matter if she's a good or bad, since I doubt she would have taken any part that didn't have a strong character. I know nothing about B�r�nice Marlohe, so I hope she can act and not just look good on screen. If she's the good Bond girl, they had best not make her into some shrinking violet with "Oh, James" lines or I swear I'll throw up in the theater.
Unfortunately, this is totally possible with screenwriters from the two previous films Daniel Craig - Pervis and Wade - working on this script as well.

The title of the next movie has been announced: Skyfall.
It's an unusual title, as it's not related to any Bond book. Let's just hope the film is better than the last one. |

Bale? I don't think he's that good of an actor, to tell the truth. But Ivanek - that's a great idea! In both "Big Love" and in "Heroes" his characters were very creepy guys. |

Bond should punch some teenage kids, they're probably the biggest menace of todays society.
The plot should go something like: bunch of adults try some evil scheme, Bond fights them of, then in the last movie third realizing that the sadistic teens are behind everything.
Who's a prominent teen actor these days to play it, Culkin, Edward Furlong?

Female Villan I think Joan Allen has the hard edge enough to battle with craggy Craig.
Male villan for a more dramatic flair maybe Christoph Waltz. |

Um, I think it is generally agreed that Richards was the #1 WORST Bond Girl ever. Now, you wouldn't want her to lose that title, would you?

Come on, you tell me, any actress who learned the real "Krav Maga"* could be a great Bond Girl - especially since there's no better place to have intrigue in the world these days than right at my doorstep.
(*Hell, if my daughter didn't have another 2+ years in the army, she could do it! She's had two courses of it so far, and when she does Officer's Training, she'll get the third, most advanced one.)

Sophie Marceau was that in whichever Brosnan one it was - World is Not Enough? She shared duties with Robert Carlyle, but she was the one calling the shots. That might be a spoiler, but it was a cack film, so it doesn't really matter.
Wasn't she sharing the evil duties with Carlyle though? He wasn't working for her but alongside her? Plus he got the big showdown at the end, long after she'd been disposed of. Whichever, we definitely need more memorable female baddies in Bond films. |
