Just read an interview with Peter Hyams which had an interesting nugget about Capricorn One.

Apparently it only got a widespread release because a major Blockbuster ( one of the Supermans , I think ) was rescheduled and they needed something to fill the empty Bookings. Hyams was told by an executive that it was originally going to go out on a very limited release.

Not sure if this is old news but I'm sure this film would have accumulated a cult following one way or another.

Would have thought CAP ONE much more newsworthy because of this piece of pop-cultural information.
