Maybe it just looked like 10,000 feet.

I thought the first one was pretty wild (and pretty improbable, already) so why not?

I was wondering the same thing when I first heard about this. But then I watched Crank again a few weeks back and after bouncing off the car and landing in front of the camera, he blinks.

I dunno- maybe the poision has a weird side effect that somehow allows you to survive a sizeable fall
