Get Him to the Greek

Is the title a reference to something? If not, it has to be a top candidate for Worst Title of the Year: just rubbish.

I didn't realise before seeing this that Brand's character is the one from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but as he only ever plays himself anyway I suppose it makes no difference. I like his persona, so am always happy to see him. I know lots of people can't bear him, but he's a very witty man and I'm glad that he's made it big.

The film as a whole is pretty much as one would expect, with a typical but satisfying send-up of a pampered rock star who's lost a grip on reality. Lots of funny scenes, some hilarious.

4/5
