For only the second time in its history, the New York Film Festival is sneaking a "work in progress". I will be there Monday night, and when I get back I will trash this thread and give you a non-spoiling capsule [as is my wont for these early screenings] on whatever it was.

EDIT: FSLC comment buzz favors J. EDGAR by Clint Eastwood; WAR HORSE by Steven Spielberg [the stage version of which is currently playing at Lincoln Center]; or GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO by David Fincher, who opened the festival last year with THE SOCIAL NETWORK. It's lovely to have a ticket for, and eagerly anticipate, an unknown flick. More Monday night.
