Altho it falls into the usual trap of going CG-happy in the second half, this movie is hugely enjoyable. Played exactly right by Chris Evans who reins in his hotshot persona. The movie looks terrific and Rocketeer alumni Joe Johnston loves the period. I nearly cheered when they went to the World's Fair - it looked exquisite.

Mostly the tone is captured - not too realistic yet not campy.

The only slight jarring tone was the ending. You were left wanting to know what Captain America's reaction was. Hopefully a little of this will get into the Avengers.
