Hurrah! I went for my weigh-in last night and I've now lost 9.9kg (almost 22 pounds) and over 40cm. Plus, the dietician is putting me up as her achiever of the month (which awards me a free session with her). I'm so pleased with myself, especially because the fitter I am, the less chance I'll have of becoming diebetic.

Bravo! Keep up the great work.

As of my last weigh in, I lost another 500gr, so I've lost a total of 10.4kg so far. Since I'm actually below the goal weight my dietician set for me, and just at my own goal weight, now I'm mostly trying to maintain. However, I might want to edge my way down another 3kg by the summer, just to round my weight down to 60kg. I can't expect to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight of 55kg from 25 years ago, but 60kg is close enough, I think.

Mind you, people at work are staring to tell me not to lose any more weight. I'm never sure if that's a compliment to me, or if they're just upset that I'm starting to look better than they do. They did cheer when I had a sufgani'ya (that's a jam or cream filled doughnut, which is an Israeli traditional treat, eaten on Hanukkah) - mind you, it was a mini one so instead of being 800 calories, it was only 400! Ouch!

Well, as of this morning I am officially NOT O-B-E-S-E! (Just very overweight ).

23.6K gone so far, another 13K to go until "normality".

How's Chocky doing?

Don't you think that excuse is wearing thin?

Well done, Whipper!
Of course, men find it far easier to lose weight than women -- something about an extra layer of subcutaneous fat that you chaps don't have.

That's my excuse!

Oh, those aren't our pounds/kilos - we got rid of ours (hopefully forever). I'm sure the ones you've found were yours all along.

(No matter how thin I get, there will always be a fat woman inside me just aching to get out.)

How would I know? I'm a vegetarian.

21kg.

Of course, I have the advantage of not using a dietician.

Do dieticians have more calories?
Whippersnapper. Posted - 11/26/2007 : 10:10:54

Well...

Getting a bit more exercise and eating a bit less seemed like a good plan to me.

Seems to work ok.

ChocolateLady Posted - 11/26/2007 : 06:07:41
Wow! That's a hell of a lot of weight. Bravo!

So, how did you do it?

There's a co-incidence. I started a diet at the beginning of August too.

I've lost some weight too, but I'm still the same height though.
