Hi everyone -- sorry for putting this in the review section but I want it somewhere everyone will see it.

Just heard from the publisher -- they want a list of people from media outlets who would like a few promotional copies.

So I'm putting the call out. Are you a journalist? Is your neighbour or brother-in-law a radio broadcaster who said 'When that four word book comes out, let me know'?"

Basically the publisher is looking for anybody who will promote or talk about the book on-air. I know some Fwiffers are also writers -- so please make yourself known and send me a personal message.

And if anybody on fwfr.com works for Oprah and know she has a spot open in her book club in mid-August, please let her know Benj and I are available.

Thanks for your help.

SOOL there, that Canadian radio program was canceled. The replacement pop-culture show, simply titled Q, is more high-brow and very unlikely to do a segment. It is hosted by a fellow who was once in a band that made a hip-hop version of Green Eggs And Ham.

Benj, do you still keep in contact with that Canadian radio show from a couple years ago?

Sorry I can't help. Im a nobody in the world. Wish I could.

I know of a couple simple ways. Everyone put the book page link in your Facebook status. We can try to get alot of twitterers to make it a popular topic. Use it after every tweet.

I'm willing to put a quiz together for Sporcle with a link to the book. I did the same for the book Historical Tweets, and the authors contacted us to say they got twice as many references from Sporcle as they did from Huffington Post.

But, hey Huffington Post comedy section would be great publicity too.

Absolutely- the last time you did a Sporcle, fwfr got about 6 times its usual visitors so I definitely vouch for it as a great publicity device.

Heck yes- aside from Mark's odd rant, the chart run-down each week is virtually a list of fwfrs in itself.

Toronto Star newspaper columnist Peter Howell's article on FWFR introduced me and thousands of other readers to FWFR in October of 2003. He is still with the Star. It would certainly be worthwhile to send him a promo copy along with Geoff Pevere who is the current Star book editor and formerly the Star's chief film reviewer.

Hm... I wonder if Jack Mingo might want to write about it in his column "Random Kinds of Factness".

(For those not living in the USA or the UK {like me}, may I suggest you purchase your copy through The Book Depository {www.bookdepository.co.uk}, that ships world-wide with no shipping costs! They take all major credit cards as well as PayPal. I pre-ordered my copy already.)

My wife and I buy all our books from The Book Depository.

Sorry, I can't help out with your request Yukon.

Get it to everyone who has ever mentioned fwfr: Jim Emerson at ebert.com, Entertainment Weekly, etc.

Also Stewart and Colbert. The Onion AV Club. Tony Scott at the New York Times. Michael Phillips at Chicago Tribune. Leonard Maltin at Entertainment Tonight. Your publisher ought to have a pretty good pop culture list already.

That's about US$11 including shipping compared with $20 from Amazon. Think I'll get mine from there then. Thanks!

Might be good to throw some copies to popular twitterers who are in the business. Maybe the L.A. contingent should meet up and strategize with who we know locally.
