Posted - 05/03/2007 : 00:54:09 Apologies if a similar link has been done before, but I suppose as new people come in these things get picked up on again.
I am still struggling to understand how to isolate my review(s) for a movie, if I want to post a link.
Here is some recent advice from wildhartlivie - 7 posts down in the thread
http://www.fwfr.com/fourum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4657&whichpage=2
Now, I've read this again and again, and looked at the links provided, and scrutinised the movie's review page from top to bottom and side to side, but I still can't work out how to select the START point and which ROWS.
I am obviously missing something simple here
Just in case it's relevant, I'm using Windows Internet Explorer

If you only want to isolate one review and sort by actual chronolgical order, then the link is safe unless someone deletes an older review. This is comparatively rare, since most people unfortunately prefer to give their reviews to Alan Smithee. However, this is of course no good if you want to isolate several of your reviews (if approved at different times). |

If your sort is by reviewer name then the downside of a name like 'Shiv', beginning with letter mid-alphabet letter, is that the link only stays good until somebody else gets a review approved with a name between yours and the first review.
So if your sort is by name in reverse order, as soon as Yukon, Whippersnapper, wildhartlivie or thefoxboy get a review approved for the same movie, your link wont work anymore (or at least, the link will work but will show somebody else's review).
So these links are best for threads that are only expected to have 'immediate' appeal
Good info, thanks |

Posted - 05/03/2007 : 01:11:47 Rows has nothing to do with rows, it's just the number of reviews you would like to display in the link.
So, after you sort the reviews, if your review is the third review displayed, you have start=3 rows=1. |
