Posted - 10/31/2008 : 17:50:50 I've previously mentioned that people with the same number of reviews can appear in different orders in the sidebar and on the main ranking page.
I assumed that one was alphabetical and one was I.D.-numerical. However, turrell (both alphabetically and numerically later than me) is currently above me in the sidebar, with the same number of reviews. How come? I don't care which of us is above the other; I'm just interested to know what the basis is. Is it based on who reaches a number first (that would be the fairest basis of all, in fact), or something more arbitrary? |

Well, I guess that's entertaining in its own way.
Yep, and on the plus side nobody can say it's biased towards those who've been on the site longest or happen to be alphabetically advantaged. |

Posted - 10/31/2008 : 17:56:29 It's about as arbitrary as you can get- whatever order the database feels like outputting them. |
