I thought I'd put the call out to the community to see what accolades you're chasing right now: this also might be a good way to point out lower-profile accolades that are hard to notice (small accolades, attached to obscure films).

Or is it just randall and I actively chasing accolades nowadays?

Even so, I'd like to know about people's favourite accolades to chase, or ones they're proud of recently attaining.

Personally, my big achievement since returning is achieving all ten of MMOrkeleb's 'They Shoot Pictures, Don't They' Accolades:

Now, I'm chasing a couple of other big boys:
Day at the Office:

Moment of Zen:

S.O.B.: Save Our Bluths:

and, of course, the granddaddy of them all, which once I held, and am only a couple hundred reviews away from holding again:
The Almost UnACtainable SNL Award:

There's a start!

What are YOU Chasing? What should I add to my watchlist?

I should have the 100 film Clooney's Century soon. I have reviews pending for the last few films remaining. I'll be the third after Randall and AC.

I'm very pleased to say that I have now achieved all of these big accolades now. I'm using this thread as a guide to big ones to start looking at. Next up: lemmy's suggestion for his Bogie accolade!

Anything else?

Congratulations, shweetheart, on being the first to get my Bogart acc "Put your lips together and blow".

Wow, AC, you almost have SNL again? Let us know when you hit it, and I'll open a bottle of virtual bubbly!

Not to take away the slightest thing from your attack on SNL, but having 50 shots a week does bring some of these lumbering monsters a little closer. Like you, I also frequently find pretty, shiny things alongside films I'm reviewing for another accolade.

The stat I watch the closest is % of accs that at least one other person has. As long as I can maintain mine above 90% or so, then I'm keeping pace with the accolade creators.

Hats off, indeed, AC -- I don't know how many accs I have but it sure won't be that many! WOW!

I guess the ones I go for are the ones with the attractive trophies. I just love scrolling throughrough a virtual cabinet of colorful still and move-y images.

I think the new version of fwfr will have a slightly different display - but I'm sure I'll cope

Particularly not with all of the rubbish films added daily for some dumbfounding reason. I like to slog through a dozen unreviewed films every week, but it's depressing going at times.

Yes, I echo randall's congratulations on the first thousand - as they say, the first thousand's always the hardest! I'm close to 2K now, and my criterion for chasing the big accolades (such as SNL, which is firmly within my sights), is that the cross-over between accolades is such that others will bob to the top if you review a large accolade. For example, in my chasing of the SNL accolade, I was able to complete the Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, and (strangely) Owen Wilson accolades. I just remember getting to a point five years ago where I was mole-whacking and opened my browser one day to see that the accolade at the top of my to-do list needed 9 reviews or something (as opposed to the 1 or 2 which is there now). There were fewer accolades and films then, I guess. Anyway, I found that profoundly depressing and that contributed to my early retirement. When I came back, hoo boy, there were plenty of moles left to whack!

I've flagged your Bogie accolade lemmy - much like the John Wayne one I used a week's quota on earlier this year, it's handy to have a stack of classic films under the belt.

Anyone else?

1000 accolades is quite an accomplishment, and just as tough is holding them when so many are auto-added. I'll bet AC was shocked at how many he'd lost after his long hiatus.

I was very glad to get Josh's thousand-entry documentary acc, and was thrilled to briefly hold the SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE one years ago, but auto-adding makes that one impossible to keep now -- and I'm not even sure shoon has kept up with the ever-expanding list of cast members! I'm not complaining, just being realistic.

Right now, I'm after those They Shoot Pictures ones that AC has, but I do try to flag the completers for every one at the top of my to-do list. So I guess I'm just cherry-picking the ones I'm closest to. Every once in a while an interesting-looking one comes up, but unless it's closed-ended, I'm not going to chase something I need 30-40 films to complete.

My ultimate goal is to review every film in the database. I'm not dumb enough to think I'll ever get there, but that's the road I travel.

Well, after achieving all the Academy Award Winners accs and the Best Picture Nominees accs, I just settled in to earn those that pop up on my page.
The one acc of mine that I would like to see someone (other than me)obtain is Put Your Lips Together and Blow which has 35 Bogie films.

I just hit the 1000 accolade mark a few days ago. It might seem a little more impressive without Randall and AC's accomplishments.
