For those of you not following us on Facebook, Ali and I met in Istanbul. He's really a wonderful guy and I had a great time. He took me to a nice restaurant and insisted on me being his guest. He gave me advice on Turkish food and society and we talked politics, but most of the conversation was about film, of course. I look forward to returning the favor when he comes to LA.
