TA:MOU = Themed Anniversary: Moving On Up
DA EVEN NEWER ROOLZ
Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.
You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.
You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted. As a courtesy to the majority of fwfrs, you may only post a link that uses the http://www.fwfr.com domain name.
Each week's TA:MOU will be removed when a new one takes its place. This is to deter re-visiting of expired threads. Yours truly Da Management
ON THIS DAY in 1949 CBS broadcast the very first television sitcom. It was called The Goldbergs and was a continuation of a hit radio show which was first aired on NBC and ran from 1929-1931 as a 15-minute weekly show, and from 1931-1946 every day. It was conceived, written by, directed by and starring the amazing Gertrude Berg, and revolved around an American Jewish family.
The television version ran for about seven years, was made into a Broadway play, and then a musical.
To celebrate Berg's pioneering contribution to popular entertainment, this week's TA:MOU task is to broadcast your fwfrs for film COMEDIES whose MAIN plot and characters feature Jews. I have a feeling we might be seeing a certain Mr Sandler!

I'm going to see what you guys submit and then draw up a list- I'm running a blank for most things - no Adam Sandler at all, very little Woody Allen...
Don't be a schlemiel, let's have your spiel.
Don't be a schmuck or you'll run outta luck!
