Seán Says: Come back soon, Bafta!

--> Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list.

All the world's a stage.... so here are five films based on plays and musicals.

NB:
In "Faust" the title character is granted his youth and falls in love with Camilla Horn.
Ian Holm plays Lenny in "The Homecoming".
David Soul plays the title character in "Jerry Springer: The Opera".
"The Producers" is the film version of the musical version of the film.

And onward we go.
What for, we do not know,
But we go.

Notes:
1. And Cameron kicked the bumper jack and the car went out backwards through the glass side of the garage. Cameron: What'd I do? Ferris: You killed the car. Cameron: I can't fix this.
2. An odd sci-fi offering, wherein Jude Law's new heart out runs its warranty. Jude's not happy.
3. While the entire film centers around a funeral for the father of many of the characters, Peter Dinklage also dies, or does he? The plan is to bury him in the same casket as the father, but Dinklage has other plans.
4. The animals at the zoo take it upon themselves to help reboot Kevin James' love (and sex) life. Even that one poor ostrich that volunteers to be the transportation for him to reclaim Rosario Dawson. But James sadly outweighs and tips the poor bird over, as he holds on to the ostrich's neck for dear life. Not the kind of choking the animals had in mind.
5. Two brothers attempt to become global rock stars but can only look on as old school friends U2 become the biggest band in the world. From the book "Killing Bono: I was Bono's Doppelganger" by Neil McCormick. Eh.

Let Me Die a Woman is about a specific surgeon.

Schlaf is in black and white.

We Were Here is about a sense of community developing in early-'eighties San Francisco.

Tonia and Her Children was one of my two favourite films in the Kraków Film Festival last year; I saw it in a double bill with my other favourite, Argentinian Lesson. They both won awards and so I happily watched them again in the closing ceremony. Both highly recommended. Anyway, you can read a little about it here.

I was going to vote but will wait a few hours. With only eight players there may be some stragglers.

Well, I ain't waitin' to announce that I already voted. I'll pick up any late-comers later.

(By the way, Lem... I liked your 'rotary club' one.)
