Years ago I was watching a re-run of the Groucho Marx game show "You Bet Your Life" when I hear that the name of one of the contestants is Ray Bradbury. I figured it was a coincidence. Then Groucho asked him what he did for a living and he said he was a writer. Then he asks what kinds of things he writes and the reply is "mostly science fiction". Groucho then asked "So, what have you written? Would I know any of your work?" Ray answered that he didn't think so. "Okay, so give me an example of one of your stories." and Ray proceeds to describe his short story "The African Velt", which happens to be my favorite of all his stories.
I don't remember if Ray was a winner or not, but that was surprising to see.
