Here, the character's name is Tripp, not Trip. |

Yup, I randomly remembered that and then wondered if the 'Guiness'es had started creeping in again...
Alas, I must confess I have a 'Guiness' of my own from way back when:

Can this be changed to 'Guinness'?

I think that M0rkeleb's spectacular review of Poseidon would be even better if it were possible to remove that period (.) that the site automatically adds to every review. |

My thoughts exactly! I mean, that's the whole reason I put the accent mark in - so there'd be a period in the right place.
Tho' I suspect it's nought but a pipe dream, because it's (I think) a piece of code that automatically periods reviews.

Nice.
The good news is that benj will override this if you ask him nicely - see one of my reviews and at least one other here.
N.B. Contains spoilers. |

Unless I am missing something, "Seller's" should be "Sellers's". (Some people would unfortunately favour "Sellers'" instead, but even that would be preferable to the current version.) |

Just put that one in to see how long it would take Sal to spot it.
Sorry Sal but you were just TOO SLOW!
Maybe we could allow in mitigation that you were adversely affected by the sibilance, but any more of this slacking and you'll be sent for recycling! I mean it!

Resubmitted.
How mortifying for one who has both studied and taught Defoe.
A Plague Year upon you MguyX for pointing this out and it is not even Friday. Wait till I catch you in Moll. |

I favor Sellers' and I also favour 'favor' - is this a UK English thing (the extra possesive 's' not the superfluous 'u')? |

In William Strunk Jr.'s The Elements of Style, arguably the most influential guide to English grammar and usage, it is stated that the possessive singular of nouns should always be formed with 's. It is also added that "(t)his is the usage of the United States Government Printing Office and of the Oxford University Press."
Incidentally, William Strunk Jr., as well as E.B. White, his protg, who edited the guide following his mentor's demise, are both American.
