benj I have a question.
Is the fullstop at the end of all reviews put there by default if the review dosen't contain a ! or ? etc..?

The reason I ask is that I never put a fullstop at the end of my reviews and they all have it, except one.....Here

His review is "DNCumentary"; it should read "D&Cumentary." D&C stands for dilation and curettage (the most common abortion for first-trimester pregnancies), so that would be the proper acronym.

That said, the review is one of the more creative "-umentary" reviews I've seen of late.

Fixed- thanks.

That's not an acronym, by the way, but anyway...

I have not seen this review before, and have ummed and ahed (or hemmed and hawed) about whether to post the following comment. It's just that I find it to be in very poor taste. I suppose I mean by this that I would prefer certain films to not receive the flippant genre of reviews. I fully realise that this is not enormously rational since Titanic is about lots of (not even fictional) people dying, but "Icy dead people" seems fairly fine to me. It is just gut instinct. I am not posting this because I think that benj will delete the review - I just thought that I would raise it for discussion, as it was a while ago that taste was last discussed (that I have seen).

It took me a while to work out which film you were talking about. Here's the link http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?ID=11687 if anyone needs it.

I don't have a problem with the review. There are plenty of 'bad taste' reviews on the site, and I think the ones that make a joke out of death (eg, 'Icy dead people.', 'Brother gets own bedroom.') are worse taste than one that makes a reference to a simple surgical procedure, I don't have a problem with any of them.

The name Bennet in Pride and Prejudice has just one T. However, I went to primary school with a girl called Elizabeth Bennett. Her younger sister was called Jane.

Please feel free to read my very hard fought-for review while you are there.

A simple surgical procedure? I don't even know where to begin. Perhaps I shouldn't even begin! I think I'll back away now.....

I started a reply to this, Tori, but decided against it. I don't approve of abortion, so a review being flippant about it is worse as far as I am concerned that one about fictional people being killed. However, as I suppose a flippant review about factual people being killed would grate with me less than the one above, I realise that I am not being entirely consistent.
