Your "Mr Jordan's Second Coming" should surely be for the Warren Beatty version of "Heaven Can Wait" - its remake - and not the 1943 version which is a different film.

And there's no such word as "firey". At least, not in feory.

Oh dear! I always thought that Warren Beatty's version is the third one with the same plot. Now I see that the second Heaven Can Wait is a remake of Here Comes Mr. Jordan, and the first Heaven Can Wait is a different story altogether. Sorry! I'll fix it after this round ends.

Yeah, I know. I had submitted it as "fire-y" but the MERPs took the dash out. Being dyslexic, I wouldn't know anyway.

That's what I meant all right.

And why do people always give themselves away by writing that they are dyslexic? If they really were, they wouldn't be able to spell it, would they? Tim. the cyber terrorist, on the other hand, doesn't claim to be dyslexic...

That's because I cut and paste the word from my on-line dictionary!

Okay - who is this cyber terrorist and where can I find (or avoid) him?

Woot! I'm in!

Y'all can get on with your day now, knowing that there are now some silly reviews to look at.

(dunno if any of these need explanation, 'cept maybe the Muppet one, that one had to go to appeal before it was approved...)

I'm off to a meeting, hope to vv by tonite for existing postees (posters?)

6:30 a.m. Pacific time, and I didn't make Page 1?

Fair 'nuff
.

I've been sludging through my August 2005 reviews in FYCTH, and have appreciated the votes so far... but also hope you'll agree this is the best set I've presented in a long while.

I'm also hoping there are some fans of Star Wars (in addition to Eminence Front) AND archeology puns.

Nice to see so much great stuff from newbies lately.

One of my favorite cartoons shows a beggar holding up a sign reading "HELP ME - I HAVE DAILY SEX" and another person passing him saying "I think you'd better let me help you spell 'dyslexia'."

Theme for my selections this week:

Five degrees of Kevin Bacon

Only necessary explanation is my Mystic River review, which was only partially successful. I wanted to make a pun on an earlier film helmed by Eastwood. If you can't figure it out, don't vote for it.

Groan Good one. All five of yours have my vote, but at least one already had it before today...

Also, vv'd to here, plenty of good reviews this round (that or my medicine is working again)

Five newcomers. The Dick Tracy review comments on Beattie's playful directing of the film (all in primary colors, casting Madonna, etc.)

An all new FYC, fyc

I got a bunch of nude ice skating reviews approved and as much as I'd like to do an all N.I.S. FYC, I had to put in a couple of others and then I picked my faves from N.I.S. (visit the movie page for more).

Just in case the NIS puns don't ring true with you, please remember:

Disney on Ice (hit disney movie characters ice skating)
Dorothee Hammil - (yes cutesy 'bob' hair-do and all)
Tara Lipinski - (Gold Medalist in 1998 - Nagano?)

Enjoy!!!
