You guess, applying the normal standards of reviews here.

If you're not sure, you can post your declined review here and lots of helpful people will suggest possible reasons.

A possible reason for the third rejection is that you are only allowed two goes.

When no reason comes up, I think it is often because the assistant editors have given different reasons.

CrAzY noodle,

Try re-submitting with an explanation.

If that doesn't work, try tweaking your review.
I just had Wizard of Odds turned down for Two For The Money because it was too generic, so I've sent it in again as "McConaughey: Wizard of Odds."

Don't just keep re-submitting the exact same review unchange.

And remembered, everyone gets declined.
I had a great review for Diary of Anne Frank -- "Room with a Jew." I thought it was brilliant but the MERPs said it was too generic.

The Breakfast Club movie isn't actually about breakfast in any way. In fact, the only meal they eat is lunch. Perhaps try for reviews that are more centered on the movie and not just the title.

If you wanted to salvage one, I guess the last one could be altered to be more about the movie --

Detention movie -- cereal-sly good.

There are other movies that include food and breakfast, so that is most likely why they were declined. Too broad.

Good luck.

Very good, but nothing at all to do with the actual subject of the film (I'm assuming we're talking about John Hughes's classic 80's film here). This kind of fwfr is what we call title-play and it's generally scowled upon because it seldom actually describes the film in question (which is half the challenge of writing an fwfr). Without this requirement the site becomes the "four word pun based on a group of words that also happen to be a film title" website- considerably less catchy I think you'll agree.

Sorry, but them's the rules

While we're on cereals, though, remember that at least they are all interchangeable...

Now, that, I REALLY don't get. Please explain, Salop.
Is this reference back to the discussion of switching out the cereal for "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids", because, if so, MAN, you've got a memory!
