Thanks - I've submitted it but I made two small changes. Let's see if it flys. It didn't get past the MERPs, I'm afraid. It was worth the try, however.

Well I'm new here, but I've already had my fair share of fwfr's turned down. The one I was sure they would take was for "The Last Temptation of Christ" - Jesus is cross dressing, but they didn't get the double entendre and it got booted. By the same token, some of my stupider ones have sailed through. For "Nude Ice Skating," for instance, I submitted "Peggy Quimming," which is really atrocious. And it was accepted.
But this is alll in good fun, so I just move on to writing new ones. This is a good place to come and get your giggles in, and leave a few new ones in return. I'm not worried about how many votes I get, or my rank, or any of that. So try not to take it too hard when your work gets kicked back. After all, you've only expended four words.

Welcome to fwfr, Basselope. I've seen that movie, although a long time ago, but not sure I entirely get it. You're saying he either dresses as a woman (cross-dresses), or is dressing on the cross, right? I'm not sure I remember either incident, although I'll repeat, I saw it a long time ago. BTW, if the meaning is that he 'dresses the cross by being on the cross', then the review becomes generic as it could apply to any movie with Jesus on the cross, and there are plenty.
If you think it was unfairly declined, then the solution is to re-submit it and put in a few words of explanation that you think might help the editors.
Incidentally, reviews aren't accepted/declined on their cleverness, they're accepted if they are correct and reasonably specific to the movie in question. Cleverness is optional here.  A dumb review that is correct and specific will be accepted, but a clever review that is unintelligible or generic will be declined. You'll get the hang of it. |

Well, I appreciate the votes. I try to spend as much time voting as I do creating., if not more. Sometimes I'll just go down the page and vote for every entry. If nothing else, it lets the writer know that someone has read his review.
